WOMEN ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT

The Women Economic Empowerment project offers appropriate and sustainable training to young people and young adults, especially girls. This gives them the opportunity to lead a long-term independent and financially secure life.

Community platform

The LESSAN Community Platform is online! For the project “Promoting Mental Health,” LESSAN has created a digital space that connects community organizers from all over Germany with experts from fields such as music and art therapy. The platform invites exchange, mutual inspiration, and collaboration.

Confronting stigma and taking action - Strengthening mental health:
Online conference on March 26

On March 26, we invite our community organizers to an online conference.
Together, we will discuss stigma and mental health, and exchange experiences and ideas.

Creativity Time

The “CREATIVITY TIME” project was realized with funding from the Postcode Lottery and implemented between March and December 2025. It was aimed at women with refugee and migration backgrounds who have been affected by gender-based violence, complementing existing counseling work with a diverse range of creative activities.

Promoting Mental Health: Nationwide Transcultural Empowerment of Youth and Young Adults in Communities

The project “Promoting Mental Health: Nationwide Transcultural Empowerment of Youth and Young Adults in Communities” is funded by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth. In this project, community organizers conduct workshops across Germany together with technical experts. The workshops are offered in the fields of art, music, dance, poetry, and mindfulness, providing a supportive environment to help young women and girls affected by female genital mutilation cope with their trauma.
