In Benin, many adolescents and young adults are denied access to schooling or vocational training. Girls are particularly affected. Some become pregnant during the holiday period; others lose their parents early and suddenly find themselves without support. Unfortunately, existing state structures are not sufficient to offer these young women real prospects.
Without training, they lack the chance of a self-determined, financially independent life. This is exactly where the Women Economic Empowerment project comes in. It enables girls to receive solid, sustainable training. This gives them the opportunity to earn their own income and take their future into their own hands.
It’s not just about education.
It’s about dignity, self-confidence, and long-term independence.
With your donation, you enable girls like Loryta to receive training that opens the door to an independent life. You’re not just giving knowledge. You’re giving hope, stability, and real prospects for the future.
Please support sustainable training for girls in Benin.
Every donation helps change lives for good.
Thanks to LESSAN’s support, my twin sister and I were able to find hope again after our father’s death. My name is Loryta, and this help changed our lives. In a very difficult time, we suddenly found ourselves alone and didn’t know what our future would look like.
The support came at exactly the right time. Today, we have the opportunity to do practical training and build an independent future step by step. We are very grateful for that.
My training as a fashion designer and pattern maker has given me creative, technical, and professional skills that enable me to design and produce high-quality, carefully crafted clothing.
